Relay for Life under way

More than 600 participants and cancer survivors registered to take part in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Whitfield County through today. The community has set a goal to raise $130,000 in the fight against cancer this year. Thirty-three local teams made up of friends, family and co-workers committed to take turns walking around the track all night to fight back against this terrible disease. For entertainment there was entertainment by various bands, singers and a special performance by the contestants in the Womanless Beauty Contest.
