Paula Elisa Crider, born Feb. 2, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away Oct. 11, 2010, in the home she shared with her mother in Tunnel Hill, surrounded by her loving family.

Paula, having being born disabled, lived as an angel on Earth for 51 years in the loving care of her mother. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Gordon and Gladys Crider and Paul and Bonnie Tipton, and by stepfather, Carl James. Paula is survived by her mother, Drusilla Tipton James of Tunnel Hill; father and stepmother, Harold and Juanita Crider of Rock Springs; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Jerry King; a nephew, Nicholas King, all of Tunnel Hill; aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved her dearly.

Services to celebrate the life of Paula Elisa Crider will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Ware and Rev. Dwight Wilson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. today.
