Juanita DeeEtte Kendrick

Mrs. Juanita DeeEtte Kendrick, 62, of Rocky Face, departed this life Tuesday night, April 25, 2006, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mrs. Kendrick was born Dec. 18, 1943, in Whitfield County, a daughter of the late W.B. and Ethel Greeson Walker. Prior to her death, she was associated with Alltel, where she had been employed for the past 38 years. Mrs. Kendrick never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Kendrick is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Kendrick of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Renae and David McClure of Canton; granddaughter, Jessica McClure; sisters and brother-in-law, Dot Ownbey, Cris Bennet and Sue Carr, all of Dalton, Bonnie Davis, Elizabeth Legg and her husband Vince, all of Chatsworth and Willie Bell Rahn of Cypress, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Irene Walker of Dalton; several nieces and nephews.

Services are Friday at 2 p.m. in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Spence officiating.

Mrs. Kendrick will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens with Freddie Ownbey, Eddie Ownbey, Steve Davis, Tim Davis, Bruce Bennett and Daryl Walker honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
