BRUNSWICK — A woman has been arrested in the shooting death of her husband, who is a former Glynn County police officer.
Annette Y. Conley, 41, has been charged with murder in the killing of Kenneth James Conley Jr., 40.
Kenneth Conley was found dead Tuesday in a home with a gunshot wound to the chest, Glynn County police Capt. Marissa Tindale said.
The couple had been going through a divorce, Tindale said. Kenneth Conley had not been living at the home, but Annette Conley was living there, Tindale said.
Police found Kenneth Conley’s body after being contacted by a co-worker who was concerned because he had not arrived for work. It appeared Kenneth Conley had been dead for several hours, Tindale said.
Investigators have recovered a .22-caliber handgun they think was used in the shooting, Tindale said.
At the time of his death, Kenneth Conley had been working as an insurance salesman, Tindale said.
