Maxine Moreland Wallace

Mrs. Maxine Moreland Wallace, 75, of Dalton passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Jim and Merle Moreland and was preceded in death by her sisters, Elwyn Moreland and Patricia Neal.

Maxine was a kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church until Dalton Public Schools took that program over; she then was a parapro at Roan School.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Parry “Buddy” Wallace of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Chris Harris of Pennsylvania; son, Michael Wallace of Dalton; sister, Barbara Williams of Ringgold; two grandsons, Christopher Harris and Aubrey Harris; nephews and nieces.

Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
