Farris Davis

Mr. Farris Davis, 62, of Dalton passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lola Davis; brother, Jay Lee (Buster) Davis; sister, JoAnn Davis.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Lynn Cross of Dalton; son, Farris Michael Davis of Dalton; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Cross and Sandy Jean Ponders, both of Dalton; great-granddaughters, Nikki Shae, Kenze, LaJean and Kaidanze Elaine Ponders; sisters, Josey Wilson of Chatsworth and Betty Jo Cobb of Alabama; brother and sister-in-law, Freddie and Mary Sue Davis of Rocky Face; brothers, Edward, Ronnie and Donnie Davis, all of Pickens County; special uncle and aunt, Dillon and Doris Ponders; cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends, Betty Ponders and Howard Wilson.

Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Ratcliff and the Rev. David Stephens officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Pickens County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 5 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday.

Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements.
