BREAKING NEWS: SPLOST passes

Voters overwhelmingly approved the $48 million Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) intended for road and transportation projects throughout Whitfield County.
The measure passed 61 percent (2,769 votes) to 39 percent (1,770 votes). Only 12.98 percent of the county’s 35,185 registered voters participated.
