Charles Michael ‘Mike’ Mowry

Mr. Charles Michael “Mike” Mowry, 49, of Dalton, departed this life Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at the local hospital.

Mike was born March 29, 1958, in Marlboro County, S.C. Mike as retired from the U.S. Army and was a computer engineer with Verizon. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Daniel Mowry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jan Donaldson Mowry of the home; daughters and son-in-law Nicholle “Coley” Durrell Mowry of Dalton, Marisa Michelle and Derek Butler; mother and stepfather Carolyn and Marty Martinez; sister, Lisa Pauline Williams, niece and nephew Brooke Elizabeth Williams and Eric Jerome Williams Jr. all of Tampa, Fla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin L. and Jeanette E. Donaldson; brother-in-law, Martin K. Donaldson, all of Tunnel Hill; aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Richard Hale of Florence, Ala., uncle, Jack Mowry and many cousins of LaFayette and Florence.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Michael “Mike” Mowry are Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at 7 p.m. from the Melrose chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Trey Starnes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
