BREAKING NEWS: Motorcyclist killed on Highway 52

Charles Michael Newton, 52, of Chatsworth, was killed when another vehicle struck the motorcycle he was driving Thursday afternoon on Highway 52 at Maddox Mill Road in Whitfield County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

An operator with the State Patrol said the wreck happened around 1:43 p.m. The operator said the motorcycle was traveling west and was struck by a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lane.

A person in the vehicle was injured. The operator did not know the extent of the injuries.
