Christine Quarles Huitt, 71, of Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Opal Quarles; a sister, Willene Quarles Walls.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Huitt is survived by her husband, Clyde Huitt of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen and Clay Payne of Cohutta, Angel and Kenny Douglas of Rocky Face; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Joy Huitt and David and Shena Huitt, all of Ringgold; sister, Jackie Quarles Williams of Dalton; grandchildren, Chris Humble, Leslie Plott, Jason Miles, Jessica Grant, Timothy Horn, Alison Huitt, Ashley Huitt, Jonathan Huitt, Karsen Huitt, Jacob Huitt, Michael Payne, Myranda Payne, Sydney Payne and Zachery Payne; great-grandchildren, Chase Humble, Camryn Humble, Taylor Plott, Katelyn Plott, Wesley Miles, Skylar Grant, Lexi Grant and Logan Horn; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeralis Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Addis and the Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga.

The family will receive friends at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home today from 5 until 9 p.m.
