Lucy Bohannon

Mrs. Lucy Bohannon, 79, of Dalton, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the residence.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, John Bohannon; her parents, Edward and Ethel Lyles; sisters, Ulla Mae Wilbanks and Alma Long; and brothers, Ralph Lyles, Wayne Lyles, Russell Lyles and Luther Lyles.

Survivors include sons, George Howard of Forsyth and Paul Bohannon of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy Tuttle of Summerville, Teresa Smith of Mobile, Ala., Deborah and Rodney Defoor of Resaca and Polly and Elvis Wheat of Chatsworth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Lizzie Carnes of Chatsworth; a brother, Denise Lyles of Michigan; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Services are Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Stephens officiating.

Burial will be in the Eton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until the funeral hour.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements.
