Samuel Ernest Baynes

Mr. Samuel Ernest Baynes, 76, of Chatsworth, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Pearl Baynes; a brother, J.A. Baynes; sisters Mae Forrest, Gussie Forrest and a grandson, Roger Caldwell.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Mae Davenport Baynes; children and spouses, David and Kathy Baynes of Dalton, Dennis Baynes, Patricia Baynes, both of Chatsworth, Karen Snyder of Dalton, and Debbie and Fred Mahony of Herndon, Va.; grandchildren, Adam and Laura Stacy, Jennifer and Roland Wade, Teresa Baynes, Amanda Baynes, Lacey Baynes, Kayleigh and Eddie Owens, Leighlee Mahony, Ava Mahony, and Candy and Ernie Mann; 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Ridley, Geneva Lance, Lorene and George Langham, Nancy Green, and Hellen and Henry Robinson all of Chatsworth; brother, Willie Baynes of Chatsworth; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald and the Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating.

Interment will be in the New Hope- Kilgore Cemetery. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home today after 5 p.m.
