Wayne Allen Garrett

Wayne Allen Garrett, 78, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Garrett; sister, Patty Townsend; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Garrett.

Mr. Garrett was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lois Garrett of the residence; a son, William Garrett of Dalton; grandchildren, Michelle Garrett Wade and Kayla Watson; great-grandchildren, Emma Soto and Leni Wade.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Garrett are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Staten and the Rev. Doug Maddox officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Hospital Ministries and Seniors Organization, 4004 Airport Road, Dalton, GA 30721.
