David James ‘Jimmy’ Larmon

Mr. David James “Jimmy” Larmon, 69, of Chatsworth, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2011, at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  

Jimmy was born June 20, 1941, in Dalton, a son of the late Berry and Susan Emma Emmett Larmon.  He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Wyatt A. Larmon; his sisters, Lea Painter, Marie Jordan and Allene Ellis and his brothers, R.E. Larmon and Gene Larmon.  

He was retired from Five Star Vending after 28 years of service.  Jimmy was a member of the Chatsworth Masonic Lodge and Salem Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Larmon; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd Larmon, Mike and Teresa Larmon, Mitch and Crystal Larmon; grandchildren, Meghan Larmon, Kaitlyn Larmon, Chelsea Larmon, Andrew Larmon, Blake Larmon, Brittany Weatherford and her husband, Josh; great-granddaughter, Lilly Weatherford all of Chatsworth; sisters, Peggy Headrick and Evelyn Roach; special niece and nephew, Adelle Arrington and Ron  Larmon all of Dalton; several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Pauline Witherow and Buddy Gibson, both of Chatsworth.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. David James “Jimmy” Larmon are today at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle and the Rev. William Walker officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Harold Verner, Markey Crowe, Stephen Cockburn, Joe Thompson, Toby Anderson and Ron Larmon serving as pallbearers.

The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday.
