Most of north Georgia under tornado watch

A tornado watch remains in effect until noon today for North Georgia, according to the National Weather Service. A tornado warning has been lifted for parts of Murray and Whitfield counties. Through the rest of the day, showers and thunderstorms are likely and some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds and frequent lightning.
