Glenda Faye Wilson Howard, 64, of Lawrenceville, and formerly of Eton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Wilson and Mildred Wilson Fountain.

Survivors include her son, Tim Howard of Chatsworth; brother, Eddie Wilson of Stone Mountain; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Lester Bryan of Lawrenceville; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Glenda was a life-long resident of Eton until she moved to Lawrenceville six years ago. She was very active in the CB community during the 1980s and 1990s and will be remembered by her truck driver friends as the “Eton Sweetheart.”

Glenda was an avid collector of many things, including Beanie Babies, Coca-Cola bottles, shot glasses, model cars featuring NASCAR drivers, and, above all else, anything Elvis. She probably owned every Elvis movie and CD ever made.

Services to celebrate the life of Glenda will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Headrick and the Rev. Chris Wrenn officiating.

Interment will be in the Chatsworth Heights Cemetery. Tom Bryan, Donnie Campbell, Matthew Mann, Sean McCarthy, and Donnie Moses will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
