Bobbie J. Lynch passed away at her home Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by her family and beloved friends. Bobbie was the wife of the late Bob Lynch. She was the daughter of the late Inez (Cook) Green and the late Theodore A. Cook, mother of Kimberly Lynch of San Martin and Scott Lynch (Shauna) of Gilroy, and cherished daughter of the heart, Astrid Onderdelinden of the Netherlands. She was the beloved grandmother of Kate, Tasha and Justin Martinez and Nathan and Abbey Lynch. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Betty Previte and Ann Kranyac; nephews, Jim Previte (Lisa), Dominic Previte (Sue) and Rudy Kranyac; nieces Zanna Arthur and Millie-Ann Kranyac; great-nieces and nephews; her beloved caregivers and friends, Lo Lutu and Emily Villalon; and dear friend Phyllis Salgado. She is also survived by many relatives in Georgia and North Carolina; she was a native of Dalton.
Mrs. Lynch was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from Jane Adams High School of Cleveland, Ohio, for which she wrote the school song. Prior to marriage, she prepared for a career in nursing. She moved to Gilroy in 1969 with her late husband and children and has been a resident since. She was a member of the Gilroy First Baptist Church, where she helped institute the Living Nativity and oversaw the design of the stained glass windows in the sanctuary. She was past president of the Christian Women’s Club, Gilroy. Mrs. Lynch and her husband owned Bob Lynch Ford in Gilroy.
Services will be on Saturday at Gilroy First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Ave., Gilroy, Calif. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. and Worship and Celebration of Bobbie’s life will begin at 10 a.m. The family would appreciate donations to the Gilroy First Baptist Church or Christian Children’s Fund in her memory.
