Joseph Mayer

Joseph Mayer, 99, of Rocky Face, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Mayer.

Survivors include his son-in-law, William (Bill) Briggs of Rocky Face; grandchildren, William J. Briggs and Karen Briggs Hall; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Ashley Briggs, Derek and Erin Hall, and Nathan Hall; and great-great grandson, Ansel Briggs.

A private funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
