Lois Burton Goble

Lois Burton Goble, 81, of Ranger, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 29, 2012, at her residence.
Lois was born Dec. 23, 1931, in Bartow County, daughter of the late Harvey and Nina Shope Burton.
She was a graduate of Fairmount High School, member of Ranger Baptist Church, the Fairmount Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile Atlanta Chapter 122 and had worked in her family-owned businesses Ranger Rugs, Kathy-Deanne Rug Mills and Custom Textile Printing prior to her retirement.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Goble; one sister, Edna Terry, and two brothers, Lewis and Edward Burton.
Survivors include her sisters, Ilene Goble Bowman and Jewel Thacker, both of Ranger; two brothers, Charles Burton of Calhoun and Tom Burton of Fairmount; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Deron Hinson officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers and include Anthony Burton, Terry Goble Jr., Garry Goble Jr., Tyler Thacker, Kevin Thacker, and Corey Haynes. All other nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m.
