Area arrests 9-15

• Heath Hershell Defoor, 42, 137 Prater Drive, Resaca, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI (alcohol/drugs), leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and open container violation.

• Alan Jerome Tankersley, 54, 4259 Highway 282, Ellijay, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Camron Eric Baldridge, 21, 2031 Old Morris Road, Rocky Face, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI (alcohol).

• Shannon Renae Bennett, 43, 125 Patrica Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear, probation violation and bondsman off bond.

• Vickie Ann Chastain, 46, 333 Springville St., Apt. C, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth, possession of a drug-related object, theft by taking and simple assault.

• Christopher John Franklin Planzer, 41, 4616 S. Dixie Highway, Resaca, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery and cruelty to a child (allow to witness battery).

• Jonathan Lee Ketchum, 33, 1045 Mount Vernon Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI (alcohol), hit and run and failure to maintain a lane.

• Elpidio Encinia Jr., 27, 109 Ezzard Ave., Dalton, was charges Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI (alcohol) and improper parking on a roadway.

• Gregory Allen Long, 35, 2705 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by receiving stolen property.
