She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest C. Bethune; brother, Donald Lamar Thornton; Lora Donna Thornton. She is survived by her mother, Catherine Bridges Thornton; brothers, Jimmy Paul Bethune, Charles Gary Thornton of Dalton; sister, Gail Florence Williams of Resaca. Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Judy Paulette Stafford are today at 1 p.m. from Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Pastor Hugh Burdette officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
