Mrs. Johnnie K. Crowder, 76, of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Smithville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and love of her life of 45 years, Lloyd Crowder Jr.; her parents, Virgil and Kathleen Allison.

She was an avid gardener who loved working with flowers and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the most caring, loving mother, always wanting to help and give to her family. She was a mother in every sense.  

She is survived by her children, Barry Lee and Christine Crowder of Dalton, Loritta and Robert Pierce of Dalton, Vickie and Doug Rogers of Adairsville, Elizabeth Robertson of Rome, Natalie Callahan of Calhoun; grandchildren, R.J. and Whitney Pierce, Seth Pierce, Melissa and David Sanders, Amanda Rogers, Lora and Michael Welch, Rose Dugger, Jennifer Copeland, Michelle and Susie Callahan; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Hank Hulse of Lebanon, Tenn.; brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby and Ann Allison, Charles Allison, James Allison, all of Watertown, Tenn.; special nieces,  Connie Ford, Brandy Belcher.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Johnnie K. Crowder are Friday at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Interment will be in United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Friday.
