Chattanooga Avenue, which had been closed between Matilda Street and Judson Street after a wreck damaged a power pole, has been reopened after the pole was repaired, a police spokesman said.
Dalton Utilities spokeswoman Marti Bryson previously said workers were trying to replace a power pole on Chattanooga Avenue in front of the Crown Mill Village apartments that was damaged in a single-car wreck Friday afternoon.

Bruce Frazier, public relations specialist with Dalton Police, said the wreck left the pole snapped in half.
Frazier said there is no information on the status of the driver who was taken to Hamilton Medical Center.
