Blevins qualifies for re-election

Whitfield County Probate Judge Sheri Blevins qualified Monday in the Republican primary to run for re-election.

The primary will be held May 24 with early voting beginning May 2.

Blevins is in her eighth year as probate judge, having been first elected in 2008. In addition to her duties in Whitfield County, she is the vice chairwoman of the Weapons Carry Permit Committee of the Georgia Probate Judges Council and is an instructor for probate judges and probate clerks for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the Georgia Probate Judges Council.
