“When we censor our history by disguising our scars, removing statues, etc., we belittle the struggles our ancestors fought so hard to overcome. America doesn’t cower behind political correctness. It defiantly and courageously moves forward, with history as a reminder of where we have been.”

“Monuments/statues are usually created for either the victims or the victors. So rather than take down Confederate statues/monuments, place a statue or monument of either the victims or the victors (whichever is more appropriate) next to the existing Confederate memorial, along with signage explaining the unvarnished truth.”

“Local restaurants serving ice tea need to be put on notice. There needs to be an upgrade in how to make it, maybe the manager should taste it before allowing paying customers to do so. I rate the quality of tea served in Dalton non-acceptable.”

“The other caller nailed the school consolidation issue: the ‘higher-ups’ in Dalton are still the historic elitists who think they are better than everyone else and Dalton High football drives all decisions. Consolidate the systems and save the taxpayers money. If you can’t figure out how it would save money you need to go back and take a simple math course.”
