Local blood supply reaches critically low level

Due to multiple trauma patients being treated Tuesday morning at area hospitals, the community blood supply has reached a critically low level.

Blood Assurance is in dire need of both O-positive and O-negative blood donors to roll up a sleeve and be someone’s hero.

Donors can schedule an appointment at www.bloodassurance.org or walk in to any donation center or mobile blood drive.

All this month, donors will receive a vintage Blood Assurance item, such as a T-shirt, coffee mug, cooler tote and more.
