Area Arrests for Jan. 9

Editor’s note: The following information is compiled from public records taken from reports from local law enforcement agencies.

• A 47-year-old Dalton man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, possession of cocaine and parole violation.

• A 17-year-old Dalton woman was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession and use of drug-related objects.

• A 36-year-old Dalton woman was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, possession of a schedule 4 drug and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• A 63-year-old Dalton man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• A 37-year-old Calhoun man was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and driving too fast for conditions.

• A 30-year-old Cohutta woman was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession and use of drug-related objects.

• A 48-year-old Dalton man was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• A 20-year-old Chattanooga man was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, open container violation, failure to dim headlights/use of multibeam lighting equipment, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, furnishing/purchase/possession of alcohol by a minor and driving without a valid license.

• A 21-year-old Dalton man was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• A 40-year-old Chicago man was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• An 18-year-old Kingston man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony, possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana, sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, failure to stop at a stop sign, laying drag or reckless conduct with an automobile, felony fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer and failure to maintain lane.

• A 17-year-old White man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony and possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a felony.

• A 20-year-old Euharlee man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony, possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a felony and possession of marijuana.

• A 19-year-old Cartersville man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony and possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a felony.

• A 32-year-old Dalton man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault (weapon) with intent to rape a child under 14 and battery.
