The Dalton Little Theatre’s season continues with the May opening of “And a Child Shall Lead.”
This Michael Slade work is directed by Josh Adler and features a cast of young performers. Together they share the true story of children coming of age in Terezin, the “Jewish city” established by the Nazis near Prague, as a holding location and waystation before the death camps of World War II.

These children use their determination and creativity to build lives filled with hope and beauty, playing, studying, making art and writing an underground newspaper, all at the peril of being executed. Their actual poems and stories are woven into this drama, “evoking the universality of children caught in the insanity of war,” theater officials said in a press release.
Evening shows are at 7 on May 10-11 and 17-18, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on May 12.
