Allie Raughton named to Dean’s List at UNG for summer 2024
DAHLONEGA, GA (08/02/2024)– Allie Raughton of Tunnel Hill, GA, made the summer 2024 Dean’s List at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving at least a 3.5 grade-point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

UNG confers degrees for summer 2024 graduates
DAHLONEGA, GA (08/02/2024)– For the summer 2024 semester, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awarded about 500 degrees and certificates to graduates. About 260 of the graduates participated in the summer 2024 commencement ceremony held July 26 at the Convocation Center at UNG’s Dahlonega Campus.
Jessica Ashlock of Dalton, GA, graduated with an Education Specialist in School Leadership.
Charles Dwyer of Dalton, GA, graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.

DEMOREST, GA (07/24/2024)– Family members and friends filled the Piedmont University Chapel on Friday, July 19, to watch as almost 70 students received degrees, shook hands with President Marshall Criser III and Board Chair Gus Arrendale, and turned their tassels.

TAMPA, FL (07/16/2024)– Emily Davies, of Dalton, earned dean’s list honors at The University of Tampa for the Spring 2024 semester. Davies was a Freshman majoring in Design BA.
Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

Midway student-athletes had an accumulative GPA of 3.20 during the spring semester, with 460 making the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll
MIDWAY, Ky. – It was another highly successful spring semester in the classroom for Midway student-athletes, with 460 earning a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
To qualify, a student-athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for the entire semester.
Of the 460 selected, 265 were named to the Dean’s List, which requires a GPA of at least 3.6, while 131 had a perfect GPA of 4.0.
As a department, Midway had an accumulative GPA of 3.20, with 23 of 27 teams having at least 3.0.
Women’s swimming had the highest total GPA at 3.765, with women’s cross country (3.615), equestrian western (3.579) men’s swimming (3.550), women’s golf (3.540), women’s soccer (3.503) and men’s cross country (3.50) all getting at least 3.5. All members of both women’s swimming and women’s golf teams made the AD Honor Roll.
As a team, baseball had a school-high 61 players selected, with men’s soccer and women’s soccer coming in second and third with 39 and 37 respectively.
Thirty different student-athletes earned Honor Roll distinction for multiple teams.

LIVINGSTON, AL (06/24/2024)– Ashley Jones has been named to the University of West Alabama’s Spring 2024 Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement.
A Business Administration major from Chatsworth, is a member of the class of 2027.
Spring 2024 academic honors recipients represent 62 out of 67 Alabama counties and 83 counties from 19 other states.
The Dean’s List gives recognition to those undergraduate students those with grade-point averages between 3.25 and 3.79, completing at least twelve semester credit hours, with no grade lower than a “C.”
