Dalton Dance Company plans spring dance concert

The Dalton Arts Project is pleased to present the Dalton Dance Company in its spring dance concert “Dancing Queen” on Friday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in the Dalton High School theater.

More than 60 dancers will participate in this rich program of passion, innovation and athleticism. This high-energy dance concert of hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet and tap techniques, fun and inspirational music, and lots of special technical effects celebrates the “dancing queen” in all of us.

Thirteen young men will join the dancers in a new partner piece “Dancing Through Life” created by Elizabeth Holland. Other choreographers include Chattanooga-based hip-hop dancer Ryan Roberts, Dalton Arts Project directors Berrien Long and Jo Beth Thompson, Lori Beth Eicholtz, Ryann Ellis and Juiles Eidson Guza.

Dancers include Ryleigh Albright, Rebekah Bridges, Brynlee Burch, Mia Cervantes, Emery Edgeman, Lilly Grafe, Lucy Hester, Caroline Hogshead, Lanier Land, Tyler Robinson, Jayla Smith, Kamryn Stancill, Lucy Tatum, Mabel Taylor, Jenna Beavers, Ava Calfee, Macy Carver, Ava Conger, Lydia Dimmlich, Holly Ellison, Amelia Hansen, Kate Harrison, Claire Hastings, Mikenley King, Reagan Lea, Lynley Lewis, Thea Maret, Callie Pendley, Mia Rolon, Lily Stepp, Ella Tucker, Makayla Washington, Wells Wilkerson, Charlotte Bledsoe, Jocie Espina, Maci Headrick, Miklayne King, Kloey Lee, Evie Lewis, Lynlee Mitchell, Adalyn Owens, Ryleigh Petty, Belle Brindle, Sophia Cervantes, Caroline Mitchell, Lilly Morrow, Blakely Nix, Cate Norwood, Taylor Sain, Henley Terry, Libba Thompson, Evan Houston, Dominick Johnson, Mason Gentry, Charles Chappell, Matthew Lewallen, Rhett Simmons, Charlie Anderson, Beau Ellis, Drew Snyder, Jayden Heath, Cal Manning, Connor Stockard and Owen Hartley.

Dalton Dance Company seniors Emery Edgeman, Lilly Grafe, Caroline Hogshead, Lanier Land and Lucy Tatum will perform a special farewell dance “Tiny Dancer” choreographed by Lori Beth Eicholtz for their friends and families.
