This year marks the Family Support Council’s 35th annual Toast of the Town dinner. Toast of the Town recognizes exceptional men and women for their exemplary work in our community. It is with great pleasure that we announce our 2025 honorees are Bryan and Debbie Macon, a beloved, awe-inspiring couple. Please join us for dinner on June 12 at The Farm to honor this dynamic duo for their contributions and dedication to our community.
The community has always been job one for both Bryan and Debbie. Over the years, various groups, nonprofits, churches and agencies found a place in their hearts.
They have been passionate supporters of United Way for more than 40 years in one area or another. Together, they have chaired the Alexis de Tocqueville Campaign following Bryan’s two terms as chairman. Bryan and Debbie have chaired the Capital Campaign at United Way and served on the Board of Directors, with Bryan serving three terms as chairman.

The Boys & Girls Club and RossWoods Adult Day Services are other agencies where they spend their time. Both are recipients of the Boys & Girls Club Legacy Award. Bryan and Debbie served on the Capital Campaign of RossWoods Adult Day Services, serving 17 years on its Board of Directors, with Bryan currently the chairman of the board. They have been inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame as laureates and currently serve on the JA Executive Advisory Board of Directors.
Debbie supported Dalton First United Methodist Church, chairing half of the 14 years she served on the Board of Trustees. During this time, she also chaired a Capital Campaign, was a co-chair of the building campaign, and designed and cared for the Prayer Garden at the church. Both Bryan and Debbie volunteered as ushers for more than 30 years while attending the church.
Over the years, Debbie has donated her services designing various projects for several Dalton groups. She did the interiors for the Dalton Innovation Accelerator, Dalton’s Waterfall Park landscaping and park design, the building interiors and gardens for RossWoods Adult Day Services, and recently completed the interior and exterior of United Way’s Center for Community Engagement.
Bryan mentors business students at Dalton State College and serves on the business school advisory board. He has served as president of both the Dalton Golf and Country Club and The Farm. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Farm.
Bryan has been involved with the Dalton chamber of commerce for many years. He has helped with entrepreneurship as well as leadership with the chamber as well as with other agencies. He volunteers his time speaking and sharing business knowledge to groups that invite him to discuss ideas. Bryan is the president and CEO of Dorsett Industries, an employee-owned company that manufactures automotive and marine carpets.
The couple have two wonderful grandchildren and two daughters, who, along with a son-in-law, have traveled to various parts of the world, and they have now created some travel monsters.
