Citizens of the Week: Heartlite Hospice — Dalton volunteers show compassion

It takes a special type of person to care for others who are nearing the end of their life.

April was Volunteer Appreciation Month, and Heartlite Hospice — Dalton honored its dedicated volunteers by hosting a special appreciation luncheon and providing small gifts. Those volunteers bring a diverse set of skills, from offering companionship to patients to assisting with administrative tasks.

The volunteers give of their time to make sure others are comfortable and cared for in their moments of need. The volunteers show an unwavering dedication to Heartlite Hospice’s mission, and for their efforts, the Dalton Daily Citizen names them our Citizens of the Week.
