North Georgia EMC awards scholarships to area students

North Murray High School graduate Jacey Albertson and Coahulla Creek High School graduate Lennon Garrett were awarded North Georgia Electric Membership Corp.’s (NGEMC) 2025 Chairman’s Memorial Scholarships.

High school seniors who reside in households served by NGEMC are eligible to apply for the $2,500 scholarship that is named for former NGEMC board members Howard Baker and Gerald Lowery.

NGEMC’s full list of 2025 Chairman’s Memorial Scholarship recipients includes Makena Blalock, Sonoraville High School; Chengze Li, Heritage High School; Abbie Carson, Armuchee High School; Katelyn Williams, Calhoun High School; Jacey Albertson, North Murray High School; Natalie Ferry, Heritage High School; and Lennon Garrett, Coahulla Creek High School.
