Area arrests

• Oscar Capistran, 25, 51 Nassau Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Parole Office with parole violation.

• Bin Chen, 40, 115 Adair St., Calhoun, was placed on hold Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Brittney Nicole Deal, 21, 1316 Winton Drive, No. 27, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• John Allen Gibson, 28, 4231 Gazaway Road, Tilton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Jason Phillips Hale, 27, 219 Harmony Lane, Chickamauga, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with being a fugitive from justice (driving on suspended license warrant, Hamilton County, Tenn.) and driving while license suspended or revoked.

• Dominick Raymond Haven, 29, 7707 Morgan Estates Road, Ooltewah, Tenn., was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with being a fugitive from justice (simple assault warrant, Hamilton County, Tenn.), driving while license suspended or revoked, using license plate to conceal vehicle ID and no insurance.

• Ronald Heary, 29, 841 Carbondale Road, No. 3, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery (family violence), cruelty to a child and false imprisonment.

• Noel Ruth Morgan, 35, 801 Riverbend Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Joshua Noel Taylor, 27, 1516 Byron St., Apt. 13, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Jianli Zheng, 46, 115 Adair St., Calhoun, was placed on hold Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by ICE.

• Tiffany Nicole Burton, 19, 1004 May St., No. 34, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession with intent to distribute a schedule 1 or 2 drug, possession of hydrocodone, sale of a schedule 3, 4 or 5 drug (two counts), possession of a schedule 4 drug (two counts), drugs in wrong container, possession with intent to distribute a schedule 3, 4 or 5 drug, possession of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Laura Ann Hawkins, 42, 195 Atkins Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking (two counts), felony theft by taking and first degree forgery.

• Matthew Lee Haywood, 18, 1004 May St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with felony tampering with evidence and willful obstruction of law officers.

• Destiny Lacree Long, 18, 1004 May St., No. 34, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession with intent to distribute a schedule 1 or 2 drug, possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession with intent to distribute a schedule 3, 4 or 5 drug (two counts), possession of a schedule 4 drug, drugs in wrong container, possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug-related items.

• Rodney Edward Smith, 24, 235 Shelton Way, Resaca, was charged Wednesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with probation violation, possession of soma, possession of xanax and theft by shoplifting.

• Dorsey Alan Thompson, 23, 222 Saul Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with simple battery (family violence) and false imprisonment.
