Area arrests

• Miguel Robert Avina, 20, 504 Salem Road, Calhoun, was placed on hold on Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Dwight Jerome Cook, 27, 102 Howell Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of meth, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of drug-related objects.

• Rhiana Foster, 23, 431 Hasty Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of meth and theft by deception.

• Angel Fraire-Estrada, 17, 477 Conway St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.

• Johnny Robert Lovain, 58, 1367 Pete Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Parole Office with parole violation.

• Robert Terrell Lovelace, 36, 4605 Cleveland Highway, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Gregory Alexander Petrie, 21, 374 Bonneville Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI-drugs (less safe) and driving without license on person.

• Jonathan Paul Williams, 26, 118 Revina Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.
