Betty Puryear Broadwater

Mrs. Betty Puryear Broadwater, 85, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl “Red” Broadwater in 1991; sisters, Mary Frances Morrison and Jane Rainwater; brother, John Henry Puryear.

Betty is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Clay Broadwater of Rocky Face and Brian and Debbie Broadwater of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Claire Broadwater and Will Broadwater; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of First United Methodist Church with Bo Thompson and Dr. Robin Lindsey officiating.

Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the atrium of the church Saturday from noon until the funeral at 2 p.m.
