Fire department at scene of chemical spill in Dalton

The Dalton Fire Department was on the scene of a chemical spill Monday night at a Shaw Industries plant at 2230 S. Hamilton Extension. There were no evacuations and no people taken to the hospital, a 911 operator said.

The exact nature of the spill was not immediately known.
