Reathel Lands

Reathel Lands, 66, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.

She worked for Levi Strauss in Murphy, N.C., for several years. She worked at Dorsett Carpet Industries for 20 years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, Jerry. She loved playing with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred T. and Magdalene Beavers Allen, and brother, Ray Allen (Barbara Raper Allen).

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Lands; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jenny Rogers; stepson and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Kim Lands; daughter, Vickie Stephens; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mark Chastain; grandchildren, Matt and Kaylee Rogers, Drew Owens, Nick Owens, Hannah Lands, Emily Lands, and Erin and Brett Stephens; five great-grandchildren; former husband, Doyle Rogers; sisters, Ruth Williams, Ressie Hughes, Reba Morrow and Rosemary Martinson; brother, Russell Allen; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Violet Baptist Church in Murphy, N.C., on Saturday at 2 p.m.
