Thelma Ellan “Snooks” Bridges, 75, of Calhoun, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Thelma was born on Dec. 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Bridges Sr. and Lillie Gaddis Bridges. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Carver; a grandson, Blake Carver; and a brother, Robert Lee Bridges Jr.
Thelma is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Shon and Felicia Carver of Adairsville, and Donald Nadolski of Calhoun; daughter, Cindy Carver of Calhoun; brother, Dana Carr of Crandall; and sisters, Margie Rollins of Dalton and Teresa Carver-Rios of Dalton; and father to her children, Johnny Carver.
Thelma is also survived by grandchildren, Lola Hernandez, Dakota Couch, Brittany Carver, and Austin, Donlisha and Abel Nadolski; as well as great-grandchildren, Shaleaha Farmer, Sierra Chapman, Taleaha Diaz, Tierra Diaz, Garrett Couch, and Zack, Ezekial and Zackera Fonseca.
Services to celebrate the life of Thelma Ellan Bridges will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zane Asbury, Leo Hernandez, Devin Childers, Ricky Gilbert, Timmy Couch, Dakota Couch and Austin Nadolski.
Thelma will be laid to rest at Rocky Face Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m.
