John Thomas Burch

John Thomas Burch, 86, of Chatsworth, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb. 20, 2013.

He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Burch Sr. and Laura Womac Burch, and sister, Lorraine Hawkins.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gladys Burch; children, Cheryl, Sandy, David, Jarrett, Susan, and Charlotte; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Moore of Dalton, Jerrie Simmons and Nancy Berever; and several nieces and nephews.

The family recognizes, with special thanks, Tapestry Hospice for their care.

Funeral service for Mr. Burch will be Friday in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Spring Place Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today beginning at 5 p.m.
