Georgia Lou Spivey

Georgia Lou Spivey, 85, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Ray Spivey; father, George Trantham; mother, Mary Trantham; brothers, Wintford and Jimmy Trantham; sisters, Lucille Painter and Ganil Parsons.

She was a member of Cedar Valley Church of God.

Mrs. Spivey is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Kathy Spivey and Rick and Elizabeth Spivey, all of Dalton; brothers, Clyde, Alvin, Elmer, Johnny and Roy Trantham; grandchildren, Josh Spivey, Chase Spivey and Terri Tallent; great-grandchildren, Alex Spivey, Jadon Spivey, Leah Spivey and Rylee Tallent; nieces and nephews.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Georgia Lou Spivey will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Ridley and the Rev. Clayton Brown officiating.

Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Scott Peppers, Chris Trantham, John Trantham and Binky Peppers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
