Larry Eugene Ward

Mr. Larry Eugene Ward, 70, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday morning, Dec. 11, 2014, at the local hospital.

Larry was born Sept. 23, 1944, in the Keith community of Catoosa County, a son of the late Fred Chester and Margaret Evelyn Clark Ward. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William “Bud” Ward, and sister, Willie “Boots” Ruth Ward.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Willie Ruth Ward of the home; son, Mike Ward; daughters, Angie and Larry Fowler, Tammy Roach, April Ward and Lucky and Patrick Miolen; grandchildren, Megan Ward, Michael Ward, Melanie Fowler and Timothy Roach; sister, Jewel Boling; three special young men, Daniel Hawkins, Bailey Tulloss and Peyton Tulloss, whom he took great pride in help raising; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Eugene Ward will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at United Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Alfred Turley officiating.

Michael Ward, Larry Fowler, Patrick Miolen, Derrick Hobbs, Daniel Hawkins and Daniel Boling will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.
