Jaqueline Sue Phipps Baggett

Jaqueline Sue Phipps Baggett, 88, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at Chatsworth Health Care Center.
She was a longtime employee of Belcraft of Dalton and retired from General Latex of Dalton. She was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Mrs. Baggett was a community servant. She visited many sick and shut-in people and she started a book club for shut-ins when she was in her 80s. She was always concerned about others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Myrtle Phipps; husband, Walter Baggett; son, Ronnie Baggett; brother and sister-in-law, Buster and Margaret Phipps; and grandson, Russell Wells.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Larry Wells of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Davena Baxter-Baggett of Chatsworth; daughter-in-law, Sandra Dietrich of Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Jerri Phipps and Allen and Sandy Phipps; grandchildren, Angie Ruark, Danielle Reisman, Karrie Manis, Jennifer Holly, Rachel Jones and David Dycus; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Austine Baggett, Thelma Stone and Pauline Davis; nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to all of our friends who have become like family, the residents and staff of Chatsworth Health Care. Also thanks to Homestead Hospice for their tender care.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Chatsworth with the Rev. Dr. Danny Cochran and the Rev. James Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
