Mary Ruth Patterson

Ms. Mary Ruth Patterson, 73, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at the Chatsworth Healthcare Center in Chatsworth.

Mary was born on Sept. 15, 1938, to the late Charlie Gladden and Mary Lou Sailors Gladden.

She is survived by three sons, Johnny Patterson of Dalton, Jack Patterson and Jerry Patterson, both of Rocky Face; three daughters, Debbie McGuire and Nancy Patterson, both of Dalton, Georgia and Cindy Spence of Rocky Face; two sisters, Robbie Shaw and Barbara Carroll, both of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Mary Ruth Patterson are today at 1 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Danny Goss officiating.  

She will be laid to rest at Maddox Chapel Cemetery with Billy McRae, Marc McRae, Robert McRae, Brian Spence, Brandon Holland and Tommy Allen serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive fiends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
