Joshua Thomas Nix, was born on Sept. 12, 2015, at 11:03 a.m. He passed peacefully from the arms of his loving parents into his heavenly Father’s arms the same day.
Baby Joshua is survived by his loving parents, Andy and Bethany Nix, and big sister, Camille Nix, of Gainesville. He is the answer to all of their prayers, and they waited for his birth with joyful expectation. During Joshua’s brief life on Earth, he was surrounded by prayer, family, and friends until he was called to heaven. He was loved by all who met him, and even by those who never had the chance to meet him — Joshua was a strong and courageous warrior for God who touched many lives in too brief a time.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy McTee (Rocky Face), great-grandparents, Howard and Juana McTee (New Orleans, La.); Ray and Patricia Nix (Oakwood) and Jesse and Eddith Wallis (Gainesville); and great uncle Eddie Nix (Oakwood).
Joshua is loved and survived by his grandparents Chris and Sandra Nix of Gainesville, grandmother Jan McTee (Rocky Face), great-grandparents, James and Alwilda Shepherd, also of Rocky Face. Uncles and aunts: Eli and Betsy McTee (Nashville, Tenn.); Jeremy and Alesha Nix (Gainesville); Charlie and Rachel Nix (Buford); cousins: Abigail and Caroline Nix (Buford) Lennox and Holt McTee (Nashville, Tenn.) and several great aunts, uncles and cousins
