Ronald Allen ‘Ronnie’ Neighbors

Mr. Ronald Allen “Ronnie” Neighbors, 59, of Dalton, departed this life Monday evening, Nov. 5, 2012, at his home.

Ronald was born Jan. 28, 1953, in Dalton, a son of late Charlie William and Betty Jean Beach Neighbors. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Keith Neighbors, and his grandparents, Patrick and Lillie Thomas Beach, and Thomas and Jenny Grant Neighbors.

Ronnie worked for many years at Shaw Industries (West Point Plant #81) and Lowe’s on Glenwood Avenue. He was a member of the Whitfield Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Bo Baker of Chattanooga, Pamela and Nevin Pulliam of Sugar Valley, Vickie and Jeff O’Neal, and Carol and David Pack, all of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Jane Neighbors of Cartersville, and David and Pat Neighbors of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald Allen Neighbors will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery. Josh Pack, Philip Pulliam, Chad Neighbors, Rogers Edwards, Shawn Chastain and Jacob Edwards will serve as pallbearers. His great-nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

 The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel today from 4 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Whitfield Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2134 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, GA 30721.
