Robert ‘Bo’ Boman Rochester

Mr. Robert “Bo” Boman Rochester, 85, of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015.

Bo wrote for the Stars and Stripes while serving in Germany for the U.S. Army. He also loved the outdoors.

Mr. Rochester was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Ollie Byrd Rochester; a brother, Ezra Rochester; and two sisters, Barbara Morris and Virginia Bullard.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Rochester of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Daye and Kirk Blackmon, Griffin; son, Peter Grahn, Chatsworth; grandchildren, Jamie and Charlie Ross, Ryan Grahn and Peter “P.J.” Grahn Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Thompson and Addelyn Ross; sisters and brother-in-law, Kay Blackwell, Cartersville, Myra and John Miller, Thomasville; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Rochester are Monday at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth with Pastor Kevin Tackett officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. from Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
