Police told a Florida woman to “stop calling 911” hours before she and her son were fatally shot last week, according to police body camera footage obtained by a local TV station. — USA Today

TBI says Elizabeth Thomas and Tad Cummins were not spotted in Nebraska

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has determined two individuals pictured are not Elizabeth Thomas and Tad Cummins. Elizabeth Thomas went missing on March 13. The TBI believes she is with her former high school teacher, 50-year-old Tad Cummins. An Amber Alert was issued for Thomas on March 14. — Fox 13

Students and faculty at Sacred Heart University are mourning the death of a college student from New Jersey who died three days after choking during a pancake eating contest at the school, according to reports. — NJ.com

Amazon launches Amazon Cash, a way to shop its site without a bank card

Amazon has announced the launch of Amazon Cash, a new service that allows consumers to add cash to their Amazon.com balance by showing a barcode at a participating retailer, then having the cash applied immediately to their online Amazon account. The service will support adding any amount between $15 and $500 in a single transaction, Amazon says. — TechCrunch
