Letter: Patriotic hose

I am writing concerning a letter from Robert Kirkwood, “The only thing that counts.” He stated he was a Christian, conservative and believes everything in the Bible is true: “If the Bible says something is wrong, then it’s wrong because God’s opinion is the only one that matters.” I agree with him completely.

I agree with all he said God does not care about with one exception. He stated, “He will not care about your sexuality.” I want to print some of God’s opinions about this that Mr. Kirkwood must have missed since he said he believed everything in the Bible is true and that God’s opinion is the only one that matters, which is very true. These Scriptures are God’s opinion, not mine, although I also believe that everything in the Bible is true and God’s opinion is all that matters to me. His word says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than put confidence in man.” (Psalm 118-8)

The Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” (Leviticus 18-22)

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient …” (Romans 1: 24-28)
