Arlie ‘George’ Ensley

Mr. Arlie “George” Ensley, 71, of Chatsworth went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, after an extended illness surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Ensley.

He was a member of the Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise.

Survivors include his mother, Tressie Mae Ensley; his wife of 53 years, Eunice Ensley; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tommy Bryant Sr., Lois and Cecil Carter, all of Dalton, Charlotte and Carl Rittenhouse of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Phyllis Ensley of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Ronnie Hammons of Dalton, Beverly and Steve Layman of Palmer, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry Ensley, William and Nora Ensley, Carl Jr. and Marcia Ensley, all of Dalton, Ronnie and Janie Ensley of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Tommy Jr. and Austin Bryant, Holly Addis, David II, Jacob, and Karen Miller, George Ariel and Patrick Carter, Lacey Nicholson, Matthew and Rebecca Rittenhouse; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Jared Bryant, Alexis Addis, Hunter, Drake, Waylon, Madison Miller, Wyatt Fuller, Braeden Miller, Kyndon Patterson and Kelbie Rittenhouse; a number of nieces and nephews, a special friend, Wesley Sane.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise with the Rev. Clayton Brown, the Rev. Junior Whitmore and the Rev. Johnny Beason officiating.

Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.

The remains will be at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral.

Tommy Bryant Jr., Matthew Rittenhouse, Jacob Miller, George Carter, Jason Addis, David Miller II, Eric Hammons and Anthony Ensley will serve as pallbearers. Patrick Carter will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends until the funeral hour Sunday.

Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements.
